How should we define alcoholism? If a person is addicted to alcohol, should we call the person is alcoholic?

One of my friends always got drunk in a pub. And he drinks at least three bottles of beers a day. My friends always tell him that he is alcoholic, and ask him to do alcohol rehab . However, the one is, he doesn’t even realize that he is alcoholic, he think it is ok the drink as many beers as he wants. It is natural, for him.

If he can not face the problem, then no one can help him.
