How to get a great Rogers Wireless Plan?

Rogers Wireless Plans I just called Rogers Customers Center this morning. I got a really good plan for two of my cell phones.

Before, I was paying almost 110 Cad/month for two of my cell phones plans. And the plans only overed about 100 day time minutes, caller ID, unlimited evening (starting at 6pm), unlimited weekends, free rogers to rogers, free incoming, 1000 text messages. I felt overpaid, that was why I called RVS today.

I am glad I called them, since I got a great deal and I can save my money in the following 3 years.

Here is my plan:

250 day time minutes
Unlimited evening (starting at 6pm)
Unlimited weekends
Caller ID
Voice Mail
30 Text Messages
Free Rogers to Rogers

All for 25 Cad/month, plus fees and tax, I think it goes to 36 Cad/month.

This plan is actually a private plan (not on promotion), but it doesn't come with voice mail and text messages. The representative I called today is very nice. He gave me the communication package for free, which includes voice mall and text messages.

If you are with Rogers and you are not happy with the plan you are having right now. You can call them. You will probably get something great. However, results might vary, depend on the representative is nice or not.

Here is the Strategy:

Be nice and polite. The representatives are human. If you are mean to them, they won't give you good deals for sure.
Be patient. If the first representative didn't give you want you want, hang up and call again. Hopefully, the next and different representative is nicer. You might need to try 3 or 4 dfferent reps.
Defend yourself. Give enough reasons why you deserve a good plan. (eg. You are with Rogers for a long time. All you family members are using rogers, You feel overpaid with the current plan)

The first time I called rogers, I middle-age male representative picked up my call. He refused to give me free caller ID and he only offered a 150 daytime plan for 20 dollars. I was not satify with it, so I hung up and call again. this time, a young male representative picked up my call. I told them what I needed. And he told me what were possible and he gave me a good plan without I begging much. He is so nice.

Notice:

I think you have to be a existing rogers customer for at least 6 months to negotiate for a good plan.
The average waitting time for getting a representative to answer your call is 13 minutes.
After you change your plan, your contrast is renewed.
